Go go to JoJo's Milk Bar

JoJo's Milk Bar recently opened on 23 W. Hubbard St with a lot of hype. After a harsh winter Chicagoans were looking for a sugar rush and they found it. This sweet spot serves breakfast, lunch, dinner and closes at 3 am on a Saturday.

Those can be some long hours, but owner Robbie Schloss runs a tight ship with an attentive staff and interesting decor. Milk jugs sit behind the bar and a museum of milk related items is downstairs to drive the point home.

Guests are in for an experience when they visit JoJo's. Lunch items to sample are the loaded grilled cheese with three cheeses and the honey fried chicken on a brioche bun.

For $14 you can wash it all down with milk and cookies. The variety of milkshakes can be overwhelming with ingredients ranging from cotton candy to chocolate poprocks.

Specialty cocktails are quite creative and of course try The Queen with Ketel One Vodka, grapefruit and lime.

For dinner the Comida with braised brisket and mashed potatoes reminds me of home. More comfort food is offered with Pop's Pot Pie and Momma's Lasagna all at the same price.

Brunch is coming soon and catering seems to be under construction so check back at JoJosMilkBar.com in the future.
