Chicagoans know it's fall when the fundraisers begin popping up all over the city.

On the first of November, a packed culinary event at the National Hellenic Museum called Kouzina took place for over three hours. Chefs from around town brought some delicious Greek style cuisine for ticket buyers to try. Among them were restaurants Portsmith, Taxim and Greek Islands. To finish us off there was a much quieter dessert room with Vanille Patisserie being a highlight.

Upstairs guests could enjoy the museum with over 20,000 artifacts at their leisure.

Benny's Chop House recently hosted a happy hour event for iF Charities, thanks to Israel Idonije. The organization promotes programs that develop emotional and social life skills.

His art was on display and author Chris Gardner was in attendance to mingle with the crowd. Gardner is known from his book of memoirs that inspired the movie The Pursuit of Happyness.

The drinks were flowing and the bacon was especailly good at this event.

DIFFA/Chicago's Art for Life Chicago was a standout in its second year thanks to a perfectly sized event space and open floor plan. Donors roamed Venue West while sipping cocktails and dining on appetizers.

Art was cleverly sold to raise money by allowing people to pick out portions of the canvas to take home from a larger painting. As the time went on prices dropped and so did the selections after part of the painting was removed.

Founded in 1984, DIFFA has raised more that $41 million for HIV/AIDS services in Chicago.

This was the perfect lead up to World of Chocolate happening on Nov. 30 at 6 p.m. at Revel Fulton Market.

The city of Chicago continues in its generosity finishing out 2018. Please visit individual websites and donate today!
