A powerhouse movie is flying into theaters this weekend with the third movie in the Avengers franchise Infinity War. After the Age of Ulton, that had some bumpy moments, this one one seems to have fixed all the bugs this time out.
This two part sequel was made back to back with the other one and includes most of the cast from the franchise, while still more Marvel movies are on the way before the next Avengers sequel comes out in May 2019.
If you haven't watched all the crossover movies in the superhero franchise, not to worry, True Believers, it's okay to have missed a few. The action does start right out of the gate with Thor and his gang fighting a threat to the universe named Thanos, plus his adoptive children. Thanos of Titan wants power and is collecting stones to make his infinity gauntlet complete.
Various members of the Avengers are trying to stop him from accomplishing this including Vision, who has a stone located on his forehead!
While there are tons of big names in this big budget blockbuster, the movie wisely separates them into smaller groups that are manageable. Actors like Chris Pratt try to steal the movie, but still make room for others to shine. The humor is spot on and the action is breathtaking so make time to see it on the big screen.
Josh Brolin as the intergalactic Thanos doesn't go over the top and simply shows his insanity. He's too big to be stopped in just one movie so the War rages on.
One piece of advice, with a running time of 149 minutes, take a quick trip to the bathroom right when it starts. I went to the restroom at one point and a character died!
Make sure and stay until after the long credits with a post set up scene that I won't spoil.
Expect reactions from audience members in the theater as this Avengers has surprises up until the very end. This the flick that the Justice League wishes it could be. As the old Stan Lee quote goes, "Make mine Marvel!"
