Chef Zeeshan Shah is now the sole restaurant partner after operating Biscuit Man at The Long Room for almost three years. A brotherly relationship over time has paid off with new hours for the kitchen to match the longtime Chicago bar staple. Pairing beer with cheese curds is a match made in heaven to those who love frothy beverages and cheese.

Dinner service begins at 3 p.m. in the cozy place with an enclosed patio in the back to open seasonally.

Shah brings a unique background from Hopleaf and The Bristol to the 1612 W. Irving Park location. He elevates typical bar food to new levels such as the spicy potato chips that were just plain addicting.

Rice bowls give diners the option for veggie dishes and a few items can even go vegan.

For meat eaters the monte cristo combines smoked ham, gruyere cheese, and white bread with some jam on the side.

A must try item is the chicken breast biscuit sanwich. While many places will serve you a crumbly mess of a biscuit, this one is solid and very filling.

The combination of a talented chef with his own version of comfort food has created a success that continues to grow.
