Exploring the Windy City

Chicago offers so much to tourists and Illinois residents. Being the third most populated city in the United States can overwhelm people but here are five items to not miss when exploring this vast historic place this spring.

The Macy's Flower and Garden Show kicks off the season on the 9th floor of the State Street location. Spring into fashion with new looks and register for a personal shopper to help out guide one along. Fashion icon Betsey Johnson arrives on the 4th floor at 111 N. State Street inspire on April 7 from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m.

Fly over to the Adler Planetarium on May 5 to see director of the Kavli Institute Michael Turner speak from 7:30 to 9:00 p.m and answer questions about modern cosmology. The Planetarium combines a museum with a classroom and a laboratory all at the same time.

If that doesn't get you closer to the stars then try the 360 Chicago Obersation Deck at the John Hancock Center. This space is featuring some exciting things this spring with a special night for photographers, an architecture night, and DJ night. A great place to see fireworks with drink specials.
