Within a week of each other two fun events were thrown at the same space. Fulton Market Kitchen hosted the Art of Cheese and a kick off party for the Latino Film Festival in March.

The Art of Cheese focused on Emmi Roth's specialty cheeses from Monroe, Wisconsin. Cheese was melted while attendees dipped bread, and fruit in to taste it.

Chef Zoe Schor served some delicious risotto and an artist painted on cheese wheels nearby.

The bartenders made Smoking Bull bourbon drinks to pair with the appetizers including sliders and egg rolls.

The versatility of cheese was highlighted throughout the evening.

The manager smartly sceduled much of the same staff for the Latino Film Festival kick off party.

Every year this party is packed full of people ready to hear more about this popular film festival.

This is the 32nd year for the festival that highlights important movies from around the world. This time there are over 100 films featured.

Running April 8-21 give the public plenty of time to come out and try some new offerings with a wide range of subject matter.

April 8 is an important date with the film Illusions S.A. starring Jaime Camil from the television show Jane the Virgin. A reception follows close to the AMC River East 21 theater.

Closing night travels to the world of Argentina at the Chicago History Museum on April 21.
