Buona, known for their beef sandwiches has finally opened in Chicago this month. Located on the busy street in Beverly at 10659 S. Western Avenue, this restaurant is originally from Berwyn, Illinois starting in 1981.

The name comes from the family of Buonavolanto and has now grown into a chain of 17 locations while still being family owned. They have kept the same classic beef recipe over the years.

The newest location sports Hague Architecture and the modern feel to it just adds to the atmosphere. There is an exposed industrial ceiling, an open kitchen, and reclaimed wood decour.

The menu is hefty expanding well beyond the beef. There are gluten free options and meals under 500 calories. There are salad, pizza, and a variety of sandwiches as options.

Check out the happy hour shakes Monday through Friday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Beer and wine is offered at some Buona locations.

Whether one likes it dipped or not, the combination of peppers, flavorful lean sliced beef, and Italian bread really hits the spot.

Catering is offered to party people who need some food for their festivities. Hopefully, Buona continues the move into Chicago with downtown locations. There are plenty of offices that need some new catered lunch choices.
