'Tis the season to over-indulge, so why not get a jump start on the holiday with Kit Kat's Jingle Bell Brunch on December 15 and 22? Diva Madam X will entertain with a variety of holiday tunes, musicals and seasonal sing-along favorites. To get in a jovial spirit, pair your entrée with the $10 optional drink package which includes mimosas, sangrias and bloody martinis. If you prefer a liquid only brunch, remember martinis are half-priced on Sunday, and they've got some special holiday drinks ready. If you'd like to do some good while eating well. Kit Kat's got a special deal on Christmas Eve and Day. In the giving spirit of the season, Kit Kat Lounge and Supper Club will offer dining and drinking guests a 50-percent discount off their $40 Christmas prix fixe menu in exchange for a canned good/nonperishable food donation (minimum one donated item per person). The collected items will be donated to local charity Vital Bridges, The regular dinner menu will also be available.

The Peninsula's Sky Rink is the only hotel skating rink in Chicago is $10 for adults, $5 for children. The skating rink's outdoor menu features a selection of hot beverages and snacks, and all monies collected will be donated to two Chicago children's charities: Lurie Children's Hospital and Hephzibah Children's Association. The hotel will also serve dinner on Christmas Eve and brunch on Christmas Day. The prix fixe, five-course dinner, served from 6-10 p.m., includes foie gras, potato gnocchi, butter-poached lobster and roasted tenderloin of beef or Muscovy duck breast and is $130 per person. At the more casual Shanghai Terrace, a special celebratory menu will be available from 5-11:00 pm, for $98 per person. Christmas Day's brunch will feature a variety of carved meats, seafood station, charcuterie and cheeses, dim sum, and a risotto station. Eggnog, hot chocolate and a vast array of sweets including crêpes, macaroons and pastries will be presented for dessert. Tavernita offers an evening of dining, cocktails and celebration. The regular dinner menu will be available before 6:45 p.m. and from 7:30 p.m. to 8:15 p.m., a $40 per person sharing menu will be available. The second seating at 9:30 p.m. is $55 per person, and includes a five-course sharing menu which includes a champagne toast and party favors. An optional two-hour open bar for $45 per person is available. For a more casual evening, guests can ring in 2014 in Barcito, the bar adjacent to Tavernita, which will offer an all-you-can-eat-tapas package, starting at 10 p.m. A reserved table and a three-hour open bar is $80 per person. Roka Akor's Chicago location will have two tasting menus featuring five courses. Those desiring dinner before heading on to other New Year's plans can choose a reservation between 5:30 and 7:30 p.m. for $85 per person. Those who are looking to dine a little closer to the stroke of midnight can make reservations between 8 and 10 p.m., or opt for the second seating between 10:30 p.m. and midnight.
