It's time to dust off those maracas! Cinco de Mayo, or the 5th of May for non-Spanish speakers, is right around the corner and we have the best places in Chicago to celebrate Mexico's famous holiday.
You won't need any excuses to pile-on the delicious tacos and Mexican fare with those delightfully colorful margaritas - all the while spending that really important quality time with friends!
Cinco de Mayo commemorates the Mexican Army's victory over French forces at the Battle of Puebla on May 5, 1862. Just don't mistake it for Mexico's Independence Day which is celebrated on September 16, commemorating the Cry of Dolores that initiated the war of Mexican independence from Spain.
