Social fixture Benjamin Newby and other tastemakers and entrepreneurs are welcoming guests to a more exclusive and upscale approach to bringing in the New Year. With three live simultaneous DJ sets, an open bar of specialty Hennessy Black cocktails by Newby, food, an in-house casino, guests will enjoy the city’s annual New Year’s fireworks indoors complemented with a panoramic view of the city. General admission tickets are $200 per person while VIP tickets are $325 per person. May sound like a hefty price, but the NYE celebration is also functioning as a fundraiser as the proceeds from the night will go to benefit The H Foundation and cancer research. It may not exactly be a New Year’s Eve party pick. However, HUB51’s New Year’s Day all-you-can-eat brunch is a sure way to cure that foreboding hangover. For $30 (excluding tax and gratuity), expect the usual brunch suspects of French toast, HUB51’s famous short rib eggs benedict, signature sushi rolls, and Martha’s famous carrot cake.
