Whatever New Year’s Eve means to you, ChicagoPride.com's Terrence Chappell has gathered a roundtable of five NYE parties around the city that will send you into 2013 with good friends, in good spirits, and of above all lots of champagne! An Evening of Opulence: NYE 2013

You simply can’t go wrong with a premium open bar, passed fare and a dessert buffet to the backdrop of one of my personal favorite DJs, DJ Madrid. Now, for $150, lifestyle branding company Genuine Entertainment and local PR go-to Monika Dixon welcome guests to just that, a no-fuss, glam NYE celebration. RSVP.

Celebrate New Year’s in one of famous hotelier Ian Schrager’s newest real estate imports. Enjoy a 4-hour premium open bar, passed hor d’oeurves and dessert, and of course tap it off with a champagne toast at midnight. Opt for a stay in one of the boutique hotel’s affordable, signature rooms if you can’t make it home – no judgment here! RSVP.

Entrepreneur's Eve 2012

Social fixture Benjamin Newby and other tastemakers and entrepreneurs are welcoming guests to a more exclusive and upscale approach to bringing in the New Year. With three live simultaneous DJ sets, an open bar of specialty Hennessy Black cocktails by Newby, food, an in-house casino, guests will enjoy the city’s annual New Year’s fireworks indoors complemented with a panoramic view of the city. General admission tickets are $200 per person while VIP tickets are $325 per person. May sound like a hefty price, but the NYE celebration is also functioning as a fundraiser as the proceeds from the night will go to benefit The H Foundation and cancer research. So, bring in the new year and give back!

For $30 (excluding tax and gratuity), expect the usual brunch suspects of French toast, HUB51’s famous short rib eggs benedict, signature sushi rolls, and Martha’s famous carrot cake.
