Le Bouchon, 1958 N. Damen, will celebrate Bastille Day on July 14 with a $25 prix fixe menu. The menu includes escargot or salad lyonnaise, steak frites or trout grenobloise and mousse au chocolat or crème caramel. To accompany the meal, Kronenbourg, the best-selling premium lager in France, will be available for $1 a glass. The prix fixe will be offered July 12-14. Chicago Gourmets, the gourmet dining club, is turning 16 and has joined forces with Oceanique in Evanston which is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year. The dual celebration will be a degustation event on Tuesday, July 23. The cost is $89 for Chicago Gourmets members; $99 for non-members. DMK Burger Bar is partnering with Make-A-Wish Illinois to help raise funds and grant wishes for local children with life-threatening medical conditions. Available during the entire month of July, Kianna's burger, consists of a grass-fed beef burger topped with smoked bacon, grilled onions, honey dijonnaise, sheep's milk feta, lettuce and tomato. The burger is $10 and is available for lunch and dinner at DMK Burger Bar's Chicago and Lombard locations. 100% of the proceeds will go directly to the Make-A-Wish foundation. Maxwell's at the Club, 500 N. Kingsbury, in the East Bank Club, has special summer dining deals slated for Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday nights. Every Tuesday in July twin cold-water lobster tails, served with vegetables of the day is $38.50. Wednesdays features a three-course prix fixe loca-vore meal for $25. Thursday nights features a pound-and-a-half full slab of baby back ribs, served with corn on the cob, smashed potatoes and cole slaw for $18. Grand, now offers six flavors of toffee-infused ice cream: McCall's classic-butter pecan, koffee toffee, lavenilla, peppermint pistachio crunch, chai-cago spice and peanut butter chocolate. Each flavor is blended with herbs, spices, extracts and flavors that mimic the crunchy, remarkable toffee inside, for $6.99 per pint. Roscoe Village Burger Fest, now in its fourth year, takes place on Saturday and Sunday, July 13-14, on Belmont at Damen in Roscoe Village. There will be arts & craft vendors, and visitors will have the opportunity to vote for their favorite Chicago burger. This year's burger vendors are; Banh Mi & Company, The Burger Joint, Butcher & the Burger, Cortland's Garage, Goose Island, Hamburger Mary's, Lakeview's Indie Burger Leader Bar Drafthouse, Mrs. Murphy & Sons, Rockit Burger Bar, Select Cut Steakhouse Stanley's Kitchen, Square Bar & Grill Twenty Five Degrees. Last year Rockit Burger Bar was voted the "Crowd Favorite" burger at 2012's fest, while Cortland's Garage took the “Critics' Choice” honors.
