"Drinksgiving" or "Blackout Wednesday" is the day before Thanksgiving and is considered one of the single biggest party nights of the year.
The extended four-day weekend coupled with the influx of out-of-town friends and college students returning home makes the pre-holiday revelry especially popular with twenty-somethings.
Many of Chicago’s LGBTQ bars are hosting events to help you indulge your wildest self and get crazy on November 24.
Drink responsibly and take a rideshare
Uber and Lyft are offering to be your free designated drivers for the evening — check your local providers for details. Download the Uber and Lyft apps now.
Anheuser-Busch is getting in the act, too, with a partnership between Budweiser and Uber called Zero Hour. On November 24, across 30 cities—including Chicago—anyone who partakes in a complimentary Budweiser Zero beer between 12 and 1 a.m. local time (or by signing a pledge to drink responsibly on Thanksgiving Eve via Budweiser’s social media) can score $25 off their ride home from the bars.
