Cindel answered GoPride.com’s 10 Question Interview to prepare Market Days attendees for an insight into the popular Chicago-based DJ.

1

What is the funniest thing you’ve ever seen on the dance floor?

“I wouldn’t necessarily consider this funny, but I’m always amazed by the different outfits that queens come up with for parties.”

2

What are you now listening to at the gym?

“I listen to a lot of different types of house music, mainly tech house music.”

3

What, if anything, do you eat while DJing?

“I’m typically too focused during my sets to even think about using the restroom, much less eating anything.”

4

If you weren’t a DJ, what would you be doing?

“I’m an artist at heart, so I know I would pursue another avenue of expressing that. Most likely, I would be a dancer because that is something I have always loved doing, even as a child.”

5

What is your dream DJ gig, and why?

“I’ve always thought that it would be an amazing experience to play for one of the larger music festivals, such as Tomorrowland. There isn’t a lot of representation from openly gay DJ’s (at) those events, so I would love to help change that.”

6

What does DJing at Market Days mean to you?

“Market Days, being one of the largest music festivals in the Midwest, is any DJ’s dream gig, but I love having the opportunity to spin in my hometown, Chicago. Also, as a Hispanic DJ, I love being able to represent my community and bring some Sazon Goya.”

7

Of the 2019 Market Days performers, who do you want to see/watch the most, and why?

“Hands down, the legend that is Deborah Cox.”

8

What advice do you have for an aspiring DJ?

“Take the time to properly learn your craft, and learn your history. Don’t rush into anything and most importantly, enjoy the ride.”

9

What is a little-known fact about yourself?

“That I sing.”

10

Finally, complete the sentence: Even my close friends might be surprised to know …

“I’m a big ole top.”
