Howard Brown Health to provide STI screenings at Evanston library

Evanston, IL - Howard Brown Health will provide free sexually transmitted infection (STI) screenings at the Evanston Public Library on the second Monday of each month this year.

The program, in collaboration with Evanston's Health and Human Services Department and the library, provides HIV prevention counseling and rapid HIV finger-prick screening, as well as confidential syphilis, gonorrhea and chlamydia screening.

The walk-in service will be offered in the small community meeting room on the first floor at the library, 1703 Orrington Ave., from 3 to 7 p.m., beginning Jan. 14. No appointment is needed, screenings are confidential.
