Chicago, IL - For 35 years the Chicago Gay Men's Chorus has been showcasing the best of the community through its whimsical performances and this weekend, their 35th Anniversary Holiday Hullabaloo celebrates the holiday season as well as their milestone season.

The chorus will be joined by 11 additional Chicago-based LGBT performing arts organizations, including About Face Theatre, Allegrezza, Artemis Singers, Chicago Pride Guard, Chicago Spirit Brigade, Chicago Tap Theatre, GayCo, Lakeside Pride Music Ensembles, Lakeview Orchestra, Pride Films & Plays, and Windy City Gay Chorus as they present their annual Holiday Concert all across Chicago including November 30 at the Harris Theatre, in Millennium Park; The NorthShore Center for the Performing Arts, in Skokie, December 1; and The Beverly Arts Center, on the South Side, December 2. Ticket information for each performance can be found at https://gopride.com/Zefe

With 22 musical numbers performed by members of 12 organizations, CGMC will contribute 150 singing voices with 20 dancers. The diverse musical show will feature music ranging from Christmas choral classics all the way to rap and will showcase Chicago's rich LGBT artistic community.

There will be three shows this weekend to ring in the holiday season. Performances will be on Friday, Nov. 30, 2018 - 8:00pm at the Harris Theater, Saturday, Dec. 1, 2018 - 8:00pm at the North Shore Center in Skokie, and on Sunday, Dec. 2, 2018 - 7:00pm at the Beverly Arts Center. Tickets are available at https://gopride.com/Zeff/

In addition, the chorus will be featured at Sequence Chicago on Navy Pier. Sequence is a free dynamic performance series that features local artists, musicians and cultural organizations by showcasing their works at Navy Pier's various unique platforms. CGMC brings their unique holiday stylings to the Pier's Fifth Third Bank Pavilion, Saturday, December 8th at 5 pm.

Supported by a grant from the Paul M. Angell Family Foundation, all Sequence Chicago performances are free and open to the public. In addition to the Chicago Gay Men's Chorus performance, other programs such as "Sounds of Peace," "Housegiving" and "A Blues Christmas," highlight the unique sounds of Chicago's diverse communities.

"CGMC is so excited to return to Navy Pier,"said Jimmy Morehead, artistic director for the chorus. "One of the awesome things about Navy Pier is that it's one of the biggest tourist attractions in the city and the state. And so it gives us a wonderful platform to sing for people who wouldn't usually buy tickets to our show. People from all walks of life that will just happen to be at the pier will get to find out who we are and enjoy some holiday favorites and we'll have some singalongs as well for them to participate in and celebrate the holidays."

The holiday season is one of the busiest times of the year for CGMC, in addition to their Hoiday Hullabaloo show performances and Navy Pier appearance, the 170+ member chorus helped ring in the season at the city's annual Christmas Tree Lighting in Millennium Park and will be lending their voices to a lunchtime concert December 7th at the Harold Washington Library and will be back under the tree at Millennium Park Friday evening, December 14th.
