More than 180,000 people flock to the festival, this year featuring Deborah Cox, Jake Miller and Alex Newell
The Midwest's largest street festival is back as Northalsted Market Days 2016 takes over Boystown with some of the biggest parties and performances in Chicago this weekend.
Nearly 180,000 people will descend on the six blocks of North Halsted between Addison and Belmont to browse the unique vendors, eat, drink and dance to a variety of different musical acts playing on four entertainment stages throughout the day.
R&B diva Deborah Cox returns to headline the festival, while pop singer and Warner Bros. recording artist Jake Miller makes his Market Days debut. In addition, Alex Newell from Glee fame brings his dance-pop to the stage.
Also in the mix are newcomers and Chicago mainstays – like 16 Candles, Catfight, Wedding Banned and The Gingers – all split between two days and four stages. You'll find the full lineup below.
The bars and restaurants of Boystown will have their doors and windows thrown wide open for the biggest, best and most fabulous block party of them all. Hydrate Nightclub will continue its annual tradition of hot beats on its outdoor stage at Cornelia and Halsted.
The 35th annual Northalsted Market Days festival - presented by the Northalsted Business Alliance - takes place Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. The event runs down Halsted Street from Belmont to Addison. A $10 suggested donation is requested at the entrance.
