Chicago, IL - It was a wet, dreary Halloween for many on Saturday, but the rain failed to dampen the spirits in Boystown as many dressed up and paraded down North Halsted for the 17th annual Northalsted Halloween Parade.

This year touting the theme of "Magic," the annual Halloween event was not only a parade, but a full-day of holiday festivities complete with a costume contest.

"No one does Halloween better than Northalsted,"  Northalsted Business Alliance Executive Director Christopher Barrett Politan told ChicagoPride.com.

The day of events culminated with the annual parade which started at 4 p.m. on Halsted at Belmont.

The legendary Northalsted Halloween Parade is presented by the Northalsted Business Alliance, the same group behind Pride Fest and Northalsted Market Days.
