Lindsay Lohan and girlfriend Samantha Ronson have split up – if you believe the gossip blogs and tabloid reports.
"We are taking a brief break so I can focus on myself," the 21-year-old Lohan told E! News apparently confirming the break-up.
The couple reportedly got into a fight over the weekend during a party that Ronson threw for her twin sister, fashion designer Charlotte Ronson, in West Hollywood. Ronson barred Lohan from entering the party.
Lohan had to be restrained by five bodyguards while attempting to crash the party, US Weekly reports.
Sources tell the tabloids that Ronson's family contributed to the weekend drama.
Lohan wrote of the break-up on what is believed to be her personal Twitter page with excerpts posted by Perez Hilton.
"being cheated on does wonders to you…look, im doing this publicly because u&ur friends call people mag..so-you win, you broke my heart. now go away. i loved you… ask ur sister 2 stop yelling profanity plz;;stop doing drugs. and tell charlotte to do more-she could loose a stone or 10."
The couple, who celebrated their one-year anniversary in January, have had a tumultuous relationship full of public fights and odd behavior.
