Website urges visitors to vote for local animal rescue
Chicago, IL -
Chicago Canine Rescue (CCR), a Chicago animal shelter, is
trying very hard to win an animal shelter contest held by Care2.com. The shelter would receive funding of $10,000 if they were able to win the grand prize.
In the current enonomy, times have been tough for everyone and people find it more difficult to make additional donations. The Chicago Canine Rescue sites another way to help an animal shelter receive much needed funding - as simple as a few clicks.
In 2007, Chicago Canine Rescue adopted out 226 dogs and cats. In 2008, CCR has already adopted out 421 animals.
Chicago Canine Rescue takes in a balance of highly adoptable animals throughout the Midwest and Chicago's neediest animals - mending broken legs, treating heartworm disease and pneumonia, providing eye and dental surgeries, and assisting motherless pups and nursing moms and puppies or kittens. Then, once the animals are ready for adoption, CCR still does a very thorough adoption including a home visit to ensure that their animals will not be displaced ever again.
The prize from Care2.com would allow them to start preparing for all the animals that will need their services in 2009.
