Online voting for ‘Most Eligible Gay Bachelor’ continues through February

Chicago, IL - For the fifth year in a row OUT magazine is holding a voter-based contest where readers chose from a compiled list to select their most favorite eligible gay bachelors. Again this year, Chicago singer/songwriter Steve Grand has made the list.

Last year, Grand used a Kickstarter campaign to kick-start his career. In January, Grand told ChicagoPride.com that his full-length debut album, the aptly named All American Boy, is being released on March 24, 2015.

Grand, who graduated from Lemont High School in 2008, discovered he was gay in eighth grade. Although his first single "All-American Boy" is based on his own experience falling for a straight friend during summer camp, Grand said the story is one that transcends sexual orientation.

"We've all fallen for someone that we can't have, but it especially rings true in the specific story for LGBT people," Grand told ChicagoPride.com in 2013. "It is the story of my life since I was 13. I was always crushing on the straight guy."

OUT's 2015 call for votes also includes Adam Lambert, Sam Smith, Andrew Rannells, Ricky Martin, Marc Jacobs, Andy Cohen, Jonathan Groff, Jussie Smollett, Nate Silver and 90 other eligible gay bachelors.
