Popular Internet Destination Announces Re-Design Focused on Social Networking
Chicago, IL -
ChicagoPride.com, the number one online resource for Chicago's lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) community, celebrates its fifth anniversary by releasing a major re-design of the popular Web site.
Launched by locally owned and operated GOPride Corporation on June 23, 2003, ChicagoPride.com quickly became the Internet's leading regional LGBT city guide in the Midwest by providing local news, exclusive interviews, photo coverage, free personals, business directory and a fast-growing social network.
This month, ChicagoPride.com will introduce a re-design of the Web site that will showcase new and innovative ways for Chicago's LGBT population to connect and network to an extended family of community members.
"We're proud of the content and ambitious features that we've added throughout the years," said R. Matthew Inawat, president. "With our new release, ChicagoPride.com will set a new standard by offering new features and incentives to our membership."
ChicagoPride.com was recently recognized by Chicago magazine. In the magazine's February 2008 cover story "Nothing But Net: 171 Great Chicago Web sites," editors selected the "essentially local sites" believed to be "most useful or interesting to people who live right here." ChicagoPride.com was named the best Web site in the LGBT category.
"Our success at ChicagoPride.com is rooted in our community service," said Bill Pritchard Senior Vice President of Community Affairs. "The commitment to Making a Difference is visible in everything we do and in the many exciting activities planned for the near future."
In celebration of Chicago Pride Month and the Web site's fifth anniversary, ChicagoPride.com is hosting the "I'm Too Sexy Tour" with 1035 KISS FM featuring DJ Nina Chantele and Ronnie Kroell from Bravo's Make Me a Supermodel throughout June and July. ChicagoPride.com will also celebrate Pride weekend with a booth at PrideFest and a float with 1035 KISS FM featuring DreX from KISS FM and Ronnie Kroell.
