Chicago, IL - AIDS Legal Council of Chicago (ALCC) will be the beneficiary for the performances of the Chicago Spirit Brigade (CSB) during this year's Pride Parade on Sunday, June 29. The Brigade is a community-based fundraising cheer organization whose purpose is to raise money and awareness for nonprofit groups that provide direct care services to people with life-threatening challenges. Since 2003, they have raised well over $100,000 for non-profit organizations across the region.

"CSB is thrilled and honored to partner with ALCC for this year's Pride Parade," said Geri Anne Nelson, who serves as CSB's Beneficiary Liaison. "Not only will every dollar donated in our blue spirit buckets go to ALCC, but CSB will match the donation and additional 25%! This 125% donation is our way of giving back to the community and to show our support for a strong and vital organization such as ALCC. ALCC's staff and volunteers have taken a very active role in our partnership and we look forward to continuing to work together to help individuals throughout our community."

Kevin Mork, ALCC's Director of Community Relations, is excited about the partnership.

"ALCC is very grateful to have been chosen as this year's CSB beneficiary for the Pride Parade," he said. "Each dollar raised will go directly to our legal service programs to assist our clients impacted by HIV and other life-changing health conditions. We are very much looking forward to marching with the Brigade on June 29."
