Chicago Pride Fest: Saturday, June 21 from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m.; Sunday, June 22 from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.
The songwriter of Demi Lovato's "Heart Attack" may have not dropped her debut album yet, but Nikki Williams is certainly one to watch. Her second single, "Glowing" reached No. 3 on the Billboard Hot Dance Club Songs chart in 2012, and her full album is expected to be released in 2014.
Signed with Island Def Jam records, Williams was born and raised in Port Elizabeth, South Africa before moving to Los Angeles at 16-years-old. The now 25-year-old singer was also once married to Nicholas Cage's song Weston in 2011, but he filed for divorced six months later.
Nikki Williams performs the North Stage at 6:40 p.m. on Saturday, June 21. Chicago Pride Fest, which is organized by the Northalsted Business Alliance, runs June 21-22 on Halsted Street between Addison and Grace. A $10 donation is recommended. The Chicago Pride Parade is the following Sunday, June 29 at noon.
