Chicago, IL -
The 11th Annual Night of Noise—a "Break the Silence" rally—will take place Friday, April 11, 5:30 p.m., at the Thompson Center Plaza, 100 W. Randolph St.
The Night of Noise features young students and advocates from both city and suburban high schools who will take the stage to talk about their efforts to improve school environments for LGBT students.
The Night of Noise follows the April 11 Day of Silence. This will be the 18th annual national Day of Silence, which GLSEN ( the Gay, Lesbian & Straight Education Network ) sponsors. On the Day of Silence, students across Illinois and the country make a personal commitment to remain silent and raise awareness to anti-LGBTQ violence, bullying and harassment they face in their own schools.
