Los Angeles, CA -
Vice President Joe Biden will deliver the keynote address at the Human Rights Campaign's (HRC) annual Los Angeles Dinner on Saturday, March 22.
Biden will be accompanied by his wife Dr. Jill Biden at Southern California's largest LGBT rights gala.
"Vice President Biden has been a champion of civil rights for his entire career, from his leadership on the Violence Against Women Act to his strong support for marriage equality," HRC President Chad Griffin said in announcing Biden's participation.
"As senator and vice president, his work to advance LGBT equality is just one chapter in a remarkable lifetime of service," Griffin added.
Last year, Biden canceled a scheduled speech at the group's annual National Dinner in Washington D.C. The AP cited the partial shutdown of the federal government as the reason behind the cancellation. Biden did address the group in 2008.
