Actor Jared Leto dedicated his best supporting actor Critics Choice Award to people living with HIV.
Leto plays an HIV-positive transgender woman opposite Matthew McConaughey in The Dallas Buyers Club. His performance has also earned him an Oscar nomination.

"I'd like to dedicate this incredible honor to all the people around the world that are living with HIV, all of the people that have lost their lives to this horrific disease and all of the people that are fighting to change the way that people that have HIV/Aids are treated," Leto said in accepting his award on Thursday. "To them, I thank you."
