Chicago, IL - LakeView East Chamber of Commerce introduced the new LakeView East Gift Card, which will be accepted at more than 100 participating retailers throughout LakeView East.

With the impending two percent sales tax increase, property tax hikes and commercial lease tax resurrection, the LakeView East Gift Card program was also designed to support the success of area merchants. The LakeView East Gift Card, available in any denomination from $5 to $500 or more, can be redeemed at LakeView East merchants. Unlike most traditional gift cards, the LakeView East Gift Card can be refunded if lost or stolen. All LakeView East merchants currently accepting Mastercard can also accept the LakeView East Gift Card at no additional charge.

"For more than 20 years, the LakeView East Chamber of Commerce has been committed to making LakeView East one of Chicago's premiere shopping and residential destinations. We are continuously looking for creative and resourceful ways to distinguish the LakeView East neighborhood, support our merchants and attract local Chicagoans and visitors alike to experience the area's rich and diverse offerings," said Maureen Martino, executive director of the LakeView East Chamber of Commerce.

The new LakeView East Gift Card complements additional upcoming LakeView East Chamber of Commerce holiday events and offerings, including the Chamber's 11th annual Giver's Gift program which offers up to $20,000 in free LakeView East Gift Cards, valued at $50 each, to shoppers who collect $300 in receipts from any three merchants or more in the LakeView East footprint (up to $100 only for groceries and alcohol purchases).
