Donald Trump 'evolving' on gay marriage

Moscow, Russia - Real estate mogul and television personality Donald Trump on Saturday said that his personal stance on gay marriage is "evolving."

Trump discussed gay rights during an interview with MSNBC anchor Thomas Roberts at the Miss Universe pageant, which took place in Moscow on Saturday.

The decision to hold the event in Russia stirred controversy due to the recent passage of two anti-gay laws, including one that prohibits "gay propaganda" to minors, effectively outlawing Gay Pride marches and other public demonstrations of support.

"Perhaps we should have known and we didn't. And after we signed, it became quite clear," Trump told Roberts. "We have a lot of gay people who work at Miss Universe, and we said, 'What do you think?' And they said, 'We want to go. We want to show our stuff.'"

"I think I'm evolving," Trump said of his stance on gay nuptials. "And I think I'm a very fair person, but I have been for traditional marriage. I am for traditional marriage. I am for a marriage between a man and a woman."
