Chicago, IL - NYC Pride, the Official New York City LGBT Pride Organizers, unveiled this morning that the legendary singer, actress and world-famous diva Cher will be performing at this year's Pierdance, the 27 year old legendary Pride party that will take place next Sunday, June 30, on Hudson River Park's Pier 26 in TriBeCa.

"The day is here! We are proud to announce, for the first time in Pride history, a LIVE performance from Cher," the organization posted on their facebook page. "This will be her only performance for Pride week!"

Oscar, Grammy, Golden Globe and Emmy winning Cher is expected to perform her newest single "Woman's World" in addition to classic favorites.

The event will close with the world's longest-running LGBT fireworks display along the Hudson.

Co-headlining the Pier Dance this year is Deborah Cox, who will also be performing at Chicago's Pride Festival this weekend.

Recent performers who have taken the stage at the Dance include performers like Whitney Houston, Jennifer Lopez, Janet Jackson, Jennifer Hudson and Cyndi Lauper.

All proceeeds from the Dance on the Pier benefit New York City's Official Pride events and LGBT community organizations.
