Four more acts added to summer festival

Chicago, IL - Four more acts have been revealed for this summer's popular Pride Fest entertainment lineup taking place this June in Chicago's Lakeview neighborhood.

Sean Kotwa, co-chair of the Northalsted Business Alliance organizing committee, told ChicagoPride.com, "We are happy to announce Blu Cantrell, Xelle, Jessica Sutta along with Saturday's headliner, Dev."

Rapper, singer and songwriter Dev, is best known for her hit singles "In the Dark" and "Bass Down Low." Her career began with the 2010 hit "Like a G6", featuring Dev and Far East Movement, which reached number one on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart.

Grammy Award nominated R&B singer Blu Cantrell is known for such hit singles as "Breathe" and "Make Me Wanna Scream." JC Cassis, Rony G and Mimi Imfurst are the pop group Xelle, known for the single "Party Girl." The music video for the song went viral after being praised as "campy deliciousness" and "an effing good time" by Perez Hilton. And former Pussycat Doll Jessica Sutta continues to forge a successful solo career and recently released her new single, "Again."

Tuesday's update comes on the heels of last week's announcement of former Danity Kane singer Aubrey O'Day as the first musical act joining the festival.

Kotwa said more entertainment announcements are expected soon.

On March 22, ChicagoPride.com first reported that organizers received approval from the City of Chicago to move Pride Fest to Sat., June 22 and Sun., June 23, the weekend before the annual Pride Parade. The two-day street festival will take place along N. Halsted St. between Addison and Waveland Ave.

Pride Fest is presented by and benefits the Northalsted Business Alliance.
