Chicago, IL - Former Danity Kane singer Aubrey O'Day is the first musical act to be announced as part of the 2013 Chicago Pride Fest entertainment lineup.

"We're very pleased to announce Aubrey," Sean Kotwa, Hydrate general manager and co-chair of the Northalsted Business Alliance organizing committee, told ChicagoPride.com. "She's just one of the many exciting performers from our entire lineup that we hope will appeal to all generations."

O'Day came to prominence on MTV's Making The Band in 2005 when hip-hop artist and producer Sean "Diddy" Combs assembled the group, later known as Danity Kane, around her. Diddy later fired O'Day in 2008.

Since, she has appeared on Celebrity Apprentice, performed on Broadway and starred in the Oxygen reality series, All About Aubrey.

Charity work is also a passion for O'Day. She has worked with many service organizations, but grew closest to children suffering from AIDS. O'Day created her own group, Fight AIDS Now (FAN), to fight for those children impacted by the disease.

O'Day will perform her new songs as well as material from Danity Kane on Sat., June 22.

Kotwa said more entertainment announcements are expected in the coming weeks.

The 2013 Chicago Pride Fest will take place Sat., June 22 and Sun., June 23, the weekend before the annual Pride Parade, along N. Halsted St. between Addison and Waveland in Chicago's Lakeview neighborhood.

Pride Fest is presented by and benefits the Northalsted Business Alliance.
