PrideFest, Parade and Afterparty Highlight Weekend Events

ChicagoPride.com celebrates Pride weekend with a number of stops throughout the city.
This weekend, ChicagoPride.com will mark its three year anniversary since merging with Qchicago.com. (full story)
From a booth at Chicago's PrideFest, to a lively float at the 37th annual parade - complete with Miss Foozie, a model search, and a special performance by recording artist Jenna Drey - along with two spectacular parade afterparties (with a special VIP invitation included below), ChicagoPride.com welcomes residents and visitors to Chicago's festivities.
The popular GLBT website's float entry, in conjunction with Fusion Radio Chicago, will feature top Billboard dance artist Jenna Drey.
Drey joins the list of special parade float guests who have joined ChicagoPride.com over the past years from Fox News Chicago Michelle Leigh to the titillating host of the KISS-FM morning show, Kevin "Drex" Buchar.
The Parade steps off at 12 Noon from the Halsted/Belmont corner proceeding north on Halsted; then south on Broadway; then east on Diversey to Cannon Drive. ChicagoPride.com is entry #44 in this year's parade. (complete list of parade participants)
The Chicago Pride Parade, organized by Pride Chicago (www.chicagopridecalendar.org), began in 1970 has since become a mainstream event with nearly 400,000 spectators taking in the festivities last year.
Following the parade, ChicagoPride.com and Chicago Tribune's RedEye are hosting the Pride Parade Afterparty at Cesar's on Broadway, Chicago's "home of the killer margaritas."
The Cesar's Afterparty will be hosted by ChicagoPride.com's fabulous Miss Foozie with special guest appearance by the Red Eye's "Boy on Boystown", Jason Steele. (Event Details)
Boom Boom Room presents Golden Ticket "Special Edition" Pride Parade After Party. This event will feature the Queen of Clubland Martha Wash performing her classic hits 'Strike It Up', 'It's Raining Men', "Everybody Dance Now' and more! (Event Details)
ChicagoPride.com members are able to get FREE VIP access to the Martha Wash event by going to the http://www.chicagopride.com/vip website and signing up by Saturday night.
In addition to the parade performance, Jenna is schedule to appear at Circuit Nightclub on Friday, June 23, 2006 and Saturday during the Pride Fest along North Halsted Street in Boystown.
