Milwaukee’s three-day pride celebration takes place June 7-9, 2013

Milwaukee, WI - Pop icon Andy Bell of Erasure will headline the opening night of PrideFest Milwaukee on Fri., June 7, in an opening night show that also stars Sophie B. Hawkins and ABBA Salute.

"We are honored to bring you another amazing festival experience in 2013," PrideFest president Scott Gunkel said.

Bell will headline the Miller Lite Mainstage. Friday night's line-up includes a wide range of talent, including the Wisconsin Royalty Drag Show, the Windy City Beauties, and Chicago legends DJ Teri Bristol and Psycho Bitch.

Additional headliners, performances and special guests for the three-day celebration will be announced in the weeks ahead.

PrideFest said this year's festival will celebrate the strength and pride of families. Building on the success and momentum of last year, organizers also announced a relaunched website and special advance ticket offers.

"Last year was not only one of our highest-grossing festivals, but also our most profitable festival in our 25 year history," said Gunkel. "Across the board, our entire team made smart and responsible cost reductions. Those savings allowed us to deliver the best return on our community's investment last year."

For 2013, PrideFest Milwaukee is offering various advance ticket packages ranging from a $13 single-day pass to a $30 three-day weekend pass. Tickets go on sale April 15, with an option to add $1 to the pricetag to support the Milwaukee LGBT Community Center's "greatest needs fund."

PrideFest Milwaukee will take place June 7-9 at the Summerfest grounds.
