New Year’s Eve Gala Will Be Final Performance for Long Running Hit

Chicago, IL - The naked cast of Bailiwick's long running hit NAKED BOYS SINGING! is now performing through its fifth exciting year! But it all concludes with a special performance on New Year's Eve when current and former cast members will present a unique pre-show reminiscing on their naked boy experiences prior to a rousing final performance that will ring in the new year.

Thirty Reserved Seat tickets for the New Year’s Eve performance, which starts at 9:00 p.m., are available for $75. Only fifty general admission tickets will be sold for $50. The evening includes a dessert buffet and champagne toast. The show will continue its regular schedule – Friday at 7, Saturday at 9 (both $37) and Sunday at 8:00 ($32) through 12/30. (There are no performances on 12/24 or 25).

Ranging from the serious to the hilarious, NAKED BOYS SINGING! has been perfect for audiences of all kinds, from gay theatre groups to girls night out and even bachelorette parties! With musical numbers such as 'Gratuitous Nudity', 'Nothing but the Radio On', and 'Muscle Addiction', the Chicago production of NAKED BOYS holds the distinction of being the second longest running version of the show after New York.

Directed by Artistic Director David Zak, with musical direction by Robert Ollis and acclaimed choreography by Andrew Delo, NBS is a musical revue celebrating the nude male form in all of its dramatic and comedic potential.

The current cast of NAKED BOYS SINGING! includes Scott Thomas who has been with the show its entire run. Other long time cast members include John Cardone, Danny Starr, David Zizic, Dan Hickey, and Keith Stoneking. Our newest cast members are Michael Frantz, Michael Brauer, and Riley Thomas. Over the last two years the show has played, 37 actors have danced and sung in the buff.

When NBS opened at Bailiwick on August 26, 2001, the world was a different place. In the subsequent seasons, NBS! has lasted longer than The Full Monty (both the tour and the resident production!) 10 Naked Men, and Puppetry of the Penis to name a few. Nineteen authors are credited in program for NBS, including Bruce Vilanch, Mark Savage, and Stephen Bates. A celebration of the male form, NBS was conceived by Robert Schrock, and features material from numerous talents, including songs by Stephen Bates, Marie Cain, Perry Hart, Shelly Markham, Jim Morgan, David Pevsner, Rayme Sciaroni, Mark Savage, Ben Schaechter, Robert Schrock, Trance Thompson, Bruce Vilanch, and Mark Winkler.

The Naked Boys have sung at "Breakfast With the Goo Goo Dolls" for WTMX The Mix at the W Hotel, sung the national anthem at the Gay Rodeo, made appearances at bridal expositions around Chicago, sung on the WGN morning news, and performed in benefits and fund raisers for many gay non-profits. NBS! has been a favorite of The Red Hat Society, as well as groups celebrating birthday, anniversary, and divorce parties.
