Los Angeles residents to vote on whether porn stars should wear condoms

Do you think porn actors should wear condoms? In Los Angeles this June, people will vote on it.
The AIDS Healthcare Foundation got 70,000 Angelenos to sign petitions to get the issue on the ballot.
"All the politicians have treated this as a hot potato," AHF President Michael Weinstein told the New York Times. "We've taken it to the voters as a last resort."
The California Division of Occupational Safety and Health already requires actors to wear condoms, but only gets involved if someone complains.
Vivid Entertainment founder Steven Hirsch called the plan "unrealistic."
"What are they going to do, have condom police out patrolling the set?" he asked.
