State College, Pa. - Joseph Amendola, attorney for accused Penn State child molester Jerry Sandusky, inadvertently gave out the number for a gay sex phone number during a press conference on Tuesday.

Sandusky waived his right to a preliminary hearing on Tuesday, and both he and Amendola spoke outside the courtroom. Sandusky didn't have much to say, but Amendola hauled off on prosecutors.

In particular, Amendola said that the claim in the grand jury indictment that Penn State officials merely warned Sandusky to knock it off after being told he'd been spotted raping a ten-year-old in a shower was ridiculous.

If you believe "their response was simply to tell Jerry Sandusky that ‘Don't go into the shower anymore with kids,' I suggest you dial 1-800-REALITY because that makes absolutely no sense."

It turns out 1-800-REALITY is a sex line for gay and bisexual men.

When this was pointed out to him later, Amendola was shocked.

"It's analogous to ‘get a life.' I had no idea that was a real number, let alone what it actually is. I will not be using that line in the future," he said.

Sandusky faces 52 charges of child molestation. Eleven witnesses, mostly victims, were ready to testify at Tuesday's trial before he waived it.
