Taylor Garrett, a Republican cast member of "A-List Dallas," said he was punched to the ground on Friday night by somebody who doesn't like conservative gay men.

Garrett's car was also vandalized while he was attending a birthday party. The vandal wrote "F**k Coulter" on the side, apparently in reference to conservative Ann Coulter, who's a friend of Garrett's.

Garrett said he confronted the vandal, who was still squatting by the car. The man stood up and punched him in the eye.

"A-List Dallas" is a series on the LGBT network "Logo" which tracks the lives of gay men in Dallas.

Garrett said this isn't the first time his property has been vandalized.

"The Democrats want me to live on their plantation as their slave, because I'm a gay person," Garrett told the Daily Caller. "And I refuse to do that."

Garrett said he joined the cast because he wanted to show the world that gays are not politically monolithic, but he's reluctant to return for next season.

"I would've thought people would have been a little more tolerant considering that our community advocates for tolerance, but it has been nothing but mean spirited attacks," he said.
