Steamworks Contributes $5,000 to Chicago House

Market Days fundraising for local HIV/AIDS housing services agency
Chicago, IL -
In a check presentation today in Chicago’s Lakeview neighborhood, Steamworks 24 Hour Men’s Health Club and Sauna contributed $5,000 to Chicago House and Social Services Agency. $2,500 in donations raised from individuals at the Steamworks Market Days booth during the August 7-8 festival were matched by Steamworks and contributed to the housing service agency.
“We are proud of our ongoing commitment to Chicago House and to community organizations throughout the Chicago area,” said Steamworks Chicago General Manager Neal Greenwood. “Over the past two decades, Steamworks has contributed hundreds of thousands of dollars back to our community and we remain committed to supporting the health and welfare of the gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender community.”
The mission of Chicago House and Social Service Agency is to provide housing and supportive services to HIV-affected families and individuals, who may also be impacted by poverty, homelessness, substance abuse, and mental illness. All Chicago House services are provided without discrimination and are explicitly designed to guide people towards wholeness and self-sufficiency.
