New York City - Rapper "The Game" said in an interview on VLADTV that he thinks there are lots of closeted gay rappers, and that people who are in the closet are putting lives at risk.

The Game doesn't have a problem with gays in general, he said -- he just thinks people should be honest about it.

Here is a transcription of part of the Q&A; the entire interview is below.

Q: When you think about gays in the entertainment business--

A: They're around.

Q: Would you be surprised if there's an already established gay rapper who's in the closet?

A: I think there are several rappers who are in the closet and gay. And those are the type of gay people -- the only type of gay people I have a problem with. I don't have a problem with gay people... Beyonce, she should say "Who runs the world?" Gays. Because they're everywhere, man. Rightfully so speaking man. It's a free country. Be gay. Do that. Game don't have a problem with gay people. Game has a problem with people who are pretending not to be gay that are gay because the number one issue with that is that you can be fooling somebody and give them AIDS. And they can die. So that "in the closet s**t" is real scary.
