Philadelphia, PA - The Philadelphia Phillies are the latest MLB team to join the It Gets Better Project.

Gay activist, sex advice columnist and Rick Santorum agitator Dan Savage founded the It Gets Better Project to reach out to troubled LGBT teens who may be considering suicide because they feel alone or are being bullied or harassed at school. The videos offer a simple message: Hang in there because life gets better.

The Phillies released their video on Saturday. It stars pitchers Roy Halladay and Michael Stutes, outfielders Hunter Pence and John Mayberry Jr., and second baseman Chase Utley.

"The Philadelphia Phillies are proud to join ItGetsBetter.org to let all LGBT young people know that life gets better," the players say in the 30-second ad. "We promise it gets better."

In June, the San Francisco Giants became the first MLB team to record a video for the campaign. Teams that have followed suit include the Baltimore Orioles, the Seattle Mariners, the Tampa Bay Rays, the Boston Red Sox, and the Chicago Cubs.
