More than 100,000 from across the country will converge on Halsted St. this weekend for the 2011 Northalsted Market Days, the largest two-day outdoor street festival in the Midwest, taking place Sat., Aug. 13 - Sun., Aug. 14.
Non-stop music, an eclectic mix of over 400 vendors and diversity galore are all guaranteed to be in the mix.
Among the 40-plus performers on Northalsted Market Days' four music stages will be Darren Criss, who plays openly-gay Blaine on Glee, Gloria Gaynor, Lisa Lisa, Prince Poppycock, Eric Himan and local favorites 16 Candles and Dot Dot Dot.

Another big draw are the food vendors with offerings that promise something for every taste.
The annual event, which spans six city blocks between Belmont Avenue and Addison along Halsted St. in Chicago's Boystown neighborhood, runs 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. both Saturday and Sunday. The stages will be set-up at Belmont Ave., Roscoe, Aldine and Addison.
