New York City - "Glee" star Darren Criss is heading to Broadway -- to take over for "Harry Potter" star Daniel Radcliffe.

Criss will make his Broadway debut on Jan. 3 as J. Pierrepont Finch in "How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying," reports the New York Daily News.

Radcliffe's last curtain call in the role will be on Jan. 1.

The 24-year-old Criss will have a three-week run in the musical.

Tickets for Criss' performance are already on sale and range from $52 to $302. There are lots of faux Al Hirschfeld Theater websites, but the legitimate one seems to be linked here.

Criss is best known for playing gay student "Blaine" on FOX's "Glee." He will only miss one episode of the show's third season and reportedly received the blessing of Glee's producer Ryan Murphy.

Prior to his work on Glee, Criss was known for his portrayal of Harry Potter in the YouTube hits, "A Very Potter Musical" and "A Very Potter Sequel."

The openly-straight crooner is a favorite among gay fans. He was recently voted the #1 hottie on the annual Hot 100 List conducted by the gay men's site AfterElton.

Having grown up in San Francisco, Criss has established a home base in Chicago with Team StarKidd, a theatre company he started while attending the University of Michigan. The company is now located in the Windy City.

Darren Criss to perform during Chicago's Market Days

Criss and his band will perform Saturday, August 13 at 4:30 p.m. on the Rivers Casino Stage at Addison and Halsted during Market Days, the largest two-day street fair in the Midwest.

Northalsted Market Days presented by the Northalsted Merchant's Association, runs Aug. 13 and 14 in Chicago's Boystown neighborhood.
