Joseph "Joey" Frank Kafka, co-owner of Kafka Wine Co., died on Sunday, June 26. He was 38 years old.
Kafka and his business partner Michael Scharber co-founded Kafka Wine Co. in 2003 and the store quickly turned into a Boystown neighborhood favorite.
Visitation will take place on Wednesday, June 29 from 3 to 9 p.m. at Lakeview Funeral Home, and the funeral service is on Thursday, June 30 at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials to the AIDS Research Foundation are appreciated.
