LA PRIDE celebrates with 41st annual parade on Sunday

LA PRIDE, Christopher Street West's annual lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender celebration, continues this weekend in West Hollywood and culminates Sunday with the annual parade.
Iceskating superstar and pop culture icon Johnny Weir will serve as the grand marshal for the 41st annual parade, which steps off at 11 a.m. and travels westbound along Santa Monica Blvd., from Crescent Heights Blvd., to the main entrance of LA PRIDE Festival at San Vicente Blvd.
The parade, which is the highlight of the three-day festival, is expected draw over 400,000 revelers.
Earlier Sunday morning the Los Angeles Frontrunners, a running and walking club for the LGBT community and supporters, will celebrate the 30th anniversary of its Run/Walk for LGBT Pride. The 5K and 10K Run and 5K Race Walk kicks off at 7:30 a.m. from the West Hollywood City Hall, 8300 Santa Monica Blvd.
Margaret Cho will perform Sunday during the Pride Festival at 3:45 p.m. and Estelle will make her LA PRIDE debut at 7:30 p.m. on the main stage.
Additional highlights from the weekend included the historic Dyke March and inaugural Purple Party, which both took place on Friday.
