London - "Harry Potter" star Daniel Radcliffe is well-known for his support of gay rights, but interestingly, he's never met another high-profile LGBT supporter: Lady Gaga.

"She's very outspoken as well, and it's just about being who you were born as. It's wonderful that other people are coming out from all different spectrums," he told MTV News. "I mean, she has a slightly more flamboyant way of putting her point across than I would, and it suits her a lot better than it would me. But we're both aiming for the same thing."

Radcliffe said he has never even been to a Lady Gaga concert, although his parents, who he said are much more in tune with pop culture, have.

Radcliffe has recorded PSA's on behalf of and donated money to The Trevor Project, which operates a nationwide 800 number (866-4-U-TREVOR) for gay and lesbian youth who need to talk with someone who understands.

Radcliffe told MTV News that advocating on behalf of The Trevor Project came naturally to him.

"It's something I've always been quite passionate about. Because I grew up around gay men, it was always a natural thing to me," he said.
