Grindr now available on Android phones

Los Angeles, CA - Grindr, the popular all male location-based social netoworking app, is out today with an Android version after revealed a leaked final test version on Monday.

The LA-based company hopes the Android release will help expand its 1.65 million male user base who already uses the iPhone and Blackberry apps. Grindr claims users in 180 countries with London being the most popular location.

Grindr for Android is compatible with devices running Android OS 2.1. A premium version, which removes banner ads and load more guys, is free for a trial and available for $4.97 a month.

The service averages 3,000 new users a day.
