Port Everglades, Fla. - The largest-ever gay and lesbian cruise will set sail on Sunday with 5,400 passengers on board.

The Royal Caribbean's "Allure of the Seas" will depart from Port Everglades, Fla.

The ship has been chartered by Atlantis Events, a LGBT travel company.

"Our guest response to this first Allure of the Seas sailing was incredible, with the charter selling out in three weeks with no advertising whatsoever," Atlantis CEO Rich Campbell told USA Today. "We knew they would love this cruise, but had no idea just how strong the response would be."

Royal Caribbean spent $1.6 billion on the ship, which boasts 16 decks, is 1,200 feet long, and even has its own "Central Park." The ship also has its own website, if you want to check it out.

During the week-long gay/lesbian cruise, there will be special gay-themed entertainment and gay performers.
