Elton John and David Furnish welcome a baby boy

Singer and songwriter Elton John and husband David Furnish welcomed Zachary Jackson Levon Furnish-John into the world on Saturday, December 25.
"We are overwhelmed with happiness and joy at this very special moment," the couple told Us Weekly. "Zachary is healthy and doing really well, and we are very proud and happy parents."
Baby Zachary, who was born through a surrogate mother, weighed 7 pounds, 15 ounces and is reportedly doing very well. He is the couple's first child together and is the first child for the 63-year-old John.
In 2009, the couple tried to adopt an HIV-positive Ukrainian orphan, but the country's family minister refused the adoption based on John's marital status - the country doesn't recognize gay marriage - and age.
John and the 48-year-old Furnish wed in London in 2005 after 12 years together.
