Coca-Cola.com.cn launched in China on July 24. The website, which targets the teen audience, features nine channels including "What's new and fun", Music, Latest Trend, Sports, Movies, Travel, On-Line Games, ICQ and Coca-Cola World. This virtual community will provide an online interactive communication space for teens to make friends around the world.
"This is the first site in China with a 3D- cartoon chat room, which allows users to choose 3D cartoons to represent themselves. By browsing the site, visitors can also earn points that can later be redeemed for premiums," said John Cheung, Vice President and Marketing Director, Coca-Cola China Ltd.
The China website is host to a 3D version of the newly opened Coca-Cola World. Visitors to the online museum can change their visual angle with a click of the mouse. Apart from giving out corporate and product information, the Coca-Cola World will also host online events such as Coca- Cola Happy Night and Coca-Cola Internet Café. This Chinese website launched by Coca-Cola China Ltd. is the latest addition to the Company, which has a number of similar internet websites around the world.
