Sidetrack welcomed back summer over the busy Memorial Day weekend.
With the regular holiday shenanigans - IML and the Grabby Awards - flooding Chicago, it was a full house at the popular North Side destination over four consecutive nights, starting Thursday and running through Sunday Funday.
The weekend weather was near perfection, which led to a large contingent enjoying Sidetrack's outdoor, upstairs deck.
Sidetrack is the only gay bar in Chicago that offers a rooftop deck. It was opened in 2004 and can accommodate over 1,000 guests at a time.
Owners Art Johnston and Pepe Pena, also known as Art and Pep, opened the iconic bar in 1982 as a safe space for Chicago's LGBTQ community.
This Pride Month, Sidetrack celebrates its 40th anniversary on Thursday, June 16 from 6 p.m. - 2 a.m.
